Magnolia x loebneri ’Wildcat’ to odmiana wyselekcjonowana w Gibson w stanie Tennessee przez L. Langforda.
Magnolia x loebneri ’Wildcat’ to stosunkowo nowa odmian należących do grupy magnolii Loebnera. Jest to niewielki wolno rosnący krzew o bardzo licznych białych, otwartych kwiatach o średnicy dochodzącej do 25 cm. Kwiaty bardzo ciekawe pełne o kształcie pomponów, składają się z aż 52 (tepali), przed pełnym otwarciem przypominają kwiaty róży, po pełnym otwarciu chryzantemy. Kwitnie na przełomie kwietnia i maja. Nadaje się do każdego rodzaju ogrodów – także małych. Można ją uprawiać w dużych pojemnikach. Jest wytrzymała na mróz.
Magnolia requires a humus, permeable, slightly acidic soil and a shady, sunny position.
Variety 'Wildcat’ otrzymała nagrodę: RHS Award of Garden Merit 2012 roku.
