Description
Magnolia x soulangeana is a hybrid of varieties Magnolia liliflora i Magnolia denudata, Bred in 1820-26 by botanist S. Soulange-Bodin in Fromont, France.
Magnolia x soulangeana 'Sundew’ to odmiana szybko rosnąca przyjmująca formę owalnego, wyprostowanego krzewu, bądź małego drzewa, osiąga około 5 m. Duże 12 cm i pachnące kwiaty ukazują się przed wykształceniem liśćmi. Przyjmują formę dużych jasnoróżowych kielichów u nasady purpurowych. Wnętrze kwiatów białe.
’Sundew’ dość dobrze znosi mrozy. Polecana do każdego typu ogrodów, wyjątkowo dekoracyjna odmiana.
