Description
Acer palmatum 'Garnet Tower' - is a palm maple with very cut leaves of purplish-red color. In autumn the leaves become bright red. In the garden it contrasts strongly with other plants, creating an extremely decorative element. It prefers a sunny or semi-shaded position. After 10 years it grows up to 3 m high and 2,5 m wide.
The variety was developed as a mutation on the cultivar 'Garnet', but is taller and more upright than it. It tolerates winters quite well, as it tolerates temperature drops to -20 oC.
