Description
Albizia julibrissin ‘Shidare’ is a strong growing, weeping form of Albizia. With typically attractive pink flowers in a bundle of silk threads and beautiful green foliage. It grows up to 3-4 m tall and looks extremely exotic. Its very large leaves, reaching up to 40 cm, resemble mimosa leaves - they fold down in the evening to unfold again in the morning.
It requires warm sites with moderately moist soils. It is a very tolerant plant to soil conditions. It tolerates drought, alkaline soils as well as high pH.
Requires a sunny location. It withstands a frost zone down to -20 oC.
This plant can be planted in many both small and larger gardens.
