Description
Produced at the Zymon Ornamental Shrubs Nursery, azaleas, including those from the Knap Hill group, are considered among the most valuable. Shrubs belonging to this group are characterized by their vigor, longevity, prolific blooming, and large flowers gathered in magnificent inflorescences.
Azalea ‘Persil‘ is a shrub with an irregular shape and upright stems that grow slowly. The flowers of the 'Persil' variety are arranged in dense, round inflorescences. It is one of the best white azaleas, with large flowers that are snow-white with a gold-yellow blotch on the upper petal. Azaleas require a sunny or semi-shaded location, acidic, humus-rich, well-drained soil, and moderately moist conditions.
This variety received the RHS Award of Garden Merit in 1993.
