In the garden, it is difficult to find shrubs more attractive than rhododendrons belonging to the genus Rhododendron in the heath family.
Rhododendrons are hybrid varieties, evergreen with a compact habit and large sizes ranging from 1m to 3m in height. Their magnificent, bell-shaped large flowers are gathered in spherical inflorescences rising above the long, dark green, leathery leaves, almost completely covering the plant. Flowers with rich colors, predominantly violet and pink, appear in spring from mid-May to June and are the greatest ornament of the spring garden.
