Description
Botanically, 'Ice Breaker®' is classified as Helleborus x nigercors, which is an interspecific hybrid of hellebores: Helleborus argutifolius and Helleborus niger.
'Ice Breaker® ‘Max’ is another one of the hellebores belonging to the Helleborus Gold Collection, which was bred by the German breeder Josef Heuger.
A characteristic feature of varieties in this series is the greenish hue of the flower petals and their high durability.
'Ice Breaker® ‘Max’ is an evergreen perennial that requires a sheltered, semi-shaded location with humus-rich, well-drained soil with a neutral pH.
