Mona Marble‘ from the 'Marble' line of the Helleborus Gold Collection by Josef Heuger are hellebores with the 'Marble' component in their name, indicating that their leaves have marbled discolorations along the veins. All hellebores from this line have names beginning with the letter M, such as ‘Macy Marble‘, ‘Megan Marble‘, ‘Mia Marble‘, ‘Mindy Marble‘, ‘Milla Marble‘, ‘Maddy Marble‘.
Botanically, ‘Ice N’ Roses Mona‘ is classified as Helleborus x iburgensis, which is an interspecific hybrid of several hellebores: Helleborus x ballardiae (H. lividus x H. niger) x Helleborus x hybridus.
Mona Marble‘ is an evergreen perennial that requires a sheltered, semi-shaded location with humus-rich, well-drained soil with a neutral pH.
The species name was given on the occasion of the State Garden Exhibition in Bad Iburg, Germany, in 2018.
