Betula utilis subsp. jacquemontii has the palest white bark of all birch trees, providing a truly distinctive and exciting sight!
An exceptional tree with a graceful, wide-branched, pyramidal shape, exquisite peeling bark and magnificent autumn colour.
The serrated, tapering, dark green leaves turn bright yellow in autumn which, when combined with the green of the conifers, creates a remarkable effect. In spring, striking catkins hang from
the tree hangs showy catkins. The birch is not demanding as far as the soil is concerned. It grows on all types of soil except wet soils. It has a shallow root system so planting other plants after the birch crown is quite risky. This beautiful variety can be one of the symptoms of the coming autumn.
