Description

Kousa dogwood is one of the most decorative trees in the garden. It comes from Japan, China, and Korea. Its unique loose, layered crown makes it an original element of the garden. The flowers of the kousa dogwood are not very visible or particularly decorative. The main ornament of these plants is the bracts, which surround the flowers and come in various colors and sizes.
Cornus kousa 'Cappuccino' are small shrubs with slow growth. One of the visually appealing varieties with leaves transitioning from dark bronze at the base to dark green at the edges. The leaves beautifully contrast with the bracts, which are lightly pink on the edges and white inside; during flowering, they turn completely pale pink.
'Cappuccino' blooms regularly in late May and June. Kousa dogwoods require fertile, well-drained, slightly acidic, or neutral soil.
The best locations are sunny or semi-shaded areas, sheltered from the wind.
