Description

Kousa dogwood is one of the most decorative trees in the garden. It comes from Japan, China, and Korea. Its unique loose, layered crown makes it an original element of the garden. The flowers of the kousa dogwood are not very visible or particularly decorative. The main ornament of these plants is the bracts, which surround the flowers and come in various colors and sizes.
Cornus kousaDwarf Pink’ is a columnar, compact shrub with slow growth, reaching 1.2 meters in height. It is ideal for smaller gardens.
Dwarf Pink’ is one of the visually appealing varieties with dark green leaves edged in burgundy. The light pink bracts with darker edges are prominently displayed against the dark foliage of this variety. ‘Dwarf Pink’ blooms profusely and regularly from late May to June. It produces interesting dark red edible fruits, although they are not very tasty.
Kousa dogwoods require fertile, well-drained, slightly acidic, or neutral soil.
