Botanically, the variety 'Champion' belonging to the Snow Roses series is classified as a hybrid of the species Helleborus x ericsmithii. 'Champion' is one of the hellebores belonging to the Helleborus Gold Collection, which was bred by breeder Josef Heuger.
Some varieties start blooming as early as November and are cold and snow resistant. Others begin to bloom in late winter and continue blooming until spring. Hellebores are hardy, low-maintenance, perennial plants that should not be missing in any garden. They are also suitable for planting in containers on balconies, terraces, etc.
'Champion' is an evergreen perennial that requires a sheltered, semi-shaded location, rich, well-drained soil with a neutral pH.
