Description
Botanically, Hamamelis intermedia (Intermediate Witch Hazel) is a hybrid of Japanese witch hazel H.japonica and Chinese witch hazel H.mollis. Witch hazels bloom when most plants in the garden are still in their winter dormancy. Therefore, it's worth planting them in locations that will fully allow you to appreciate their striking blossoms and large, dark green leaves. Shrubs can be planted individually or in groups.
Hamamelis intermedia ‘Fauerzauber‘ is a vigorously growing shrub. Its leaves are large and dark green, turning yellow and orange in autumn. Fragrant, red flowers appear in February.
