Botanically, Hamamelis intermedia (Intermediate Witch Hazel) is a hybrid of Japanese witch hazel H.japonica and Chinese witch hazel H.mollis. It's worth noting that witch hazels bloom when most plants in the garden are still dormant. Therefore, it's advisable to plant them in locations that will allow us to fully appreciate their striking blossoms and large, dark green leaves. Trees can be planted individually or in groups.
Hamamelis intermedia ‘Orange Beauty‘ is an upright shrub reaching up to 3m in height. It is valued for its unusual flowering time, with the first flowers appearing as early as the end of December. The flowers are fragrant, with orange-red, threadlike petals arranged in small clusters.
