Description
Magnolia 'Coates' is a fast-growing shrub or small tree with an oval habit growing up to 5-6m tall. Its fast growth and upright habit make 'Coates' an attractive cultivar for larger gardens and landscaped areas.
This is a beautiful variety with large pink flowers with white interiors that appear in late April and early May. The leaves of magnolia 'Coates' are intense green, oval pointing upwards, turning yellow-brown in autumn.
Magnolia 'Coates' requires a humus, permeable, slightly acidic substrate and a shady, sunny position.
