Description
Magnolia 'Sunray' has the form of a small tree with a spreading and upright habit, it is a fast-growing variety, especially when young, growing to a height of 4-3 m. Bred by A. Kher in 1995.
It is suitable for any garden. It is classed as a late-flowering variety, flowering starts in May.
Magnolia 'Sunray' is a variety with yellow flowers with a delicate red tinge at the inner base of the petals On the outer side, the petals ( tepals ) take on a delicate green tinge. The flowers have a pleasant fragrance.
Magnolia requires a humus, permeable, slightly acidic substrate and a sheltered, sunny position.
