Fagus sylvatica ’Rohan Obelisk’ to kolumnowa odmiana buka o purpurowo-brązowych i błyszczących liściach. Dorasta po 15 latach do imponujących: 7 m wysokości i 2 m szerokości.
Preferuje gleby żyzne o umiarkowanej wilgotności. Najlepszym stanowiskiem są miejsca słoneczne, ale toleruje półcień. Wykorzystywana jest do nasadzeń w ogrodach, na terenach zieleni miejskiej, jako drzewo soliterowe, alejowe i osłonowe.
