Azaleas, belonging to the genus Rhododendron of the heather family (Ericaceae), are appreciated for their beautiful flowers and decorative leaves. Their cultivation is relatively straightforward, especially due to their higher frost resistance compared to Japanese azaleas and rhododendrons. They can be planted both individually and in groups, including along the edges of ponds or water gardens. Large-flowered azaleas tolerate pruning and shaping well, making them suitable for containers and flower beds. From May to June, they delight with an abundance of colorful flowers, while in autumn their leaves change color beautifully, reflecting all the hues of Polish autumn.

Produced at Zymon Ornamental Shrubs Nursery, azaleas belong to the Knap Hill group, considered one of the most valuable. Shrubs in this group are characterized by their large vigor and vitality, abundant flowering, and large flowers gathered in impressive inflorescences.
Azalea ‘Glowing Embers‘ is a shrub with a spreading, upright habit of medium strength growth. The flowers are almost red in buds, but when fully opened, they become orange-red with distinct, light orange spots gathered in spherical inflorescences. Azaleas require a sunny to semi-shaded position, acidic, humus-rich, well-drained soil, and moderately moist conditions.
