Azalea japonica are dwarf, slow-growing, evergreen shrubs, reaching their maximum growth on average after 10 years. Their partial loss of leaves in winter makes them tolerate lower temperatures better than other rhododendron species. Thanks to their compact structure and compact form, Japanese azaleas are perfect for planting in containers on terraces and balconies. In gardens, they harmonize well near ponds or pools, adding romantic charm to the surroundings. They bloom profusely, covering themselves with colorful flowers, and group plantings create beautiful, single-colored or multicolored carpets. The flowers maintain their charm for about 3 weeks, depending on prevailing weather conditions.
Azalea japonica ‘Anouk‘ is a dwarf, evergreen, slow-growing shrub. It blooms abundantly, with flowers of dark pink color. Azaleas require sunny or semi-shaded locations, acidic, humus-rich, and permeable soil.
