Magnolia ’Elizabeth’ to szybko rosnące drzewo o luźnym, piramidalnym pokroju dorastające do 5-7 m wysokości. Bardzo atrakcyjna odmiana, jedna z najpopularniejszych żółtych magnolii. Wyselekcjonowana w 1956 roku w Ogrodzie Botanicznym w Brooklynie w Nowym Jorku. Odmiana nazwana w 1978 roku na cześć dyrektorki ogrodu Elizabeth Scholz.
Magnolia ’Elizabeth’ tworzy żółte pąki, które pojawiają się przed wykształceniem liści. Kwiaty są pachnące i okazałe zbudowane z 8-9 płatków ( tepali ). Barwa kwiatów kremowo-żółta do cytrynowej w czasie upałów lekko bledną przybierając kolor kości słoniowej.
Magnolia requires a humus, permeable, slightly acidic soil and a shady, sunny position.
