Description

Azalea ‘St. Lem’ Azalea ‘St. Lem’ is a showy, deciduous garden azalea variety bred in Poland, belonging to the group of large-flowered azaleas (Rhododendron occidentale x mollis). Its name comes from the initials and surname of the renowned science fiction writer – Stanisław Lem – and serves as a tribute to Polish cultural heritage.

  • Intensely yellow flowers with a creamy-white overlay, sometimes with a delicate orange streak at the base of the petals.
  • The color is richly saturated, brightening flower beds and drawing attention from afar.

🌼 Flower structure:

  • Blooms profusely in May, before the leaves are fully developed.
  • The flowers are lightly fragrant, long-lasting, and resistant to short periods of cold.

  • Compact shrub with a dense, dome-shaped growth habit, reaching 1.2–1.5 m in height and width.
