Kwitnie rozpoczyna przełomie kwietnia i maja. Odmiana o urokliwych zielonkawo-jasnożółtych kwiatach, których barwa w trakcie kwitnienia zmienia się z zielonkawej na kremowo-żółtą. Kwiaty zbudowane z 6 płatków ( tepali ) osiągają średnicę 20 cm po pełnym otwarciu.
Magnolia ’Lemon Star’ jest bardzo wytrzymała na mrozy. Polecana do małych ogrodów.
